Cattle Crowding Behind Sun Bleached Ranch Gate

Hard coastal glare floods the dusty ground of a Georgia ranch corral, flattening shadows beneath the steel rails. A low angle view emphasizes the towering weight of cattle pressing against weathered wooden posts. The sun-bleached timber shows deep gray cracks and peeling paint, against the dark, wet coats of the animals. Dust hangs in the air, caught in the harsh noon light, while wind whips the coarse hair along the necks of the nearest cows. Their eyes reflect the bright sky, fixed on the open gate. One hoof scuffs the dry, cracked earth, kicking up a small cloud of pale dirt against the shadow of the gate frame.
