Autumn Cattle Sale Yard Qatar Twilight

Cool blue light fills the ranch corral in Qatar as early evening settles over the autumn cattle sale yard. Wet mud coats the lower sections of metal sorting gates, drying in patches that reveal rusted orange beneath the grey sludge. Lot cards hang limp and heavy on the railings, their white surfaces dull under the overcast sky. A brief sun shower leaves droplets clinging to the steel bars, reflecting the pale grey clouds above. The low angle view emphasizes the height of the pens against the flat horizon, where the air remains still and heavy with moisture. Puddles gather in the corners of the concrete floor, mirroring the darkening sky. One metal post stands wet and gleaming in the foreground, its surface streaked with drying rainwater.
