Camel Caravan Crosses Pine Forest Ferry at Blue Hour
Reflected water light washes over a line of camels moving diagonally across a ferry deck near Abu Dhabi. The animals stand in cool season attire, their thick coats catching the dim blue glow after sunset. Long shadows stretch across the wet metal surface, pulled taut by the diagonal composition. Stacked clouds hover low above the horizon, heavy and gray against the fading sky. Wind whips through the sparse pine trees lining the distant shore, bending their needles in the same direction as the shadows. The water ripples beneath the ferry, mirroring the dark shapes of the camels and the sharp angles of the rigging. One metal cleat gleams wetly in the foreground.
