Camel Caravan Mirrored on Utah Causeway in on a wind-open causeway in Utah

Camel Caravan Mirrored on Utah Causeway

by Willow Miller

Hard coastal glare illuminates a line of camels traversing a wind-open causeway in the Utah desert. The animals cast sharp, dark shadows on the cracked earth, their fur textures rendered in high contrast. A perfectly clear sky dominates the upper frame, yet it fractures into two distinct realms. The left side glows with bright midday blue, while the right side plunges into a star-filled night, the transition occurring as a sharp vertical line. Below, the ground acts as a flawless mirror, reflecting the caravan and the split sky in perfect symmetry. The mirrored composition doubles the impossible horizon, at the base of the surreal light divide in the concrete texture of the salt flat. One camel's hoof presses into the reflective surface, blurring the boundary between the real ground and its inverted twin.
