Blue Sea Ice Shelf Edge Under Winter Noon

Hard coastal glare flattens the heavy overcast sky into a uniform sheet of white light that reflects off the jagged edge of a sea ice shelf. Deep azure fractures run through the thick ice surface, revealing dense glacial layers beneath a rough, snow-dusted crust. To the right, open dark water presses against the frozen margin, creating a sharp contrast between the solid blue mass and the liquid black void. The ice shelf extends across a wide valley floor near Tromsø, its sheer vertical face dropping abruptly into the churning sea. Low-angle shadows are absent under the noon sun, leaving the textures of the ice and water in stark, high-contrast relief. One shard of translucent blue ice rests precariously on the shelf's uneven rim, catching the diffuse light.
