Moonrise Paints Glacier Face Silver Blue in Norway

Pale moonlight washes over a massive glacier face, turning rough ice into shifting planes of silver and deep blue. Dark water at the base reflects the celestial glow, stretching the light across the surface. Early spring thaw exposes wet, dark rocks alongside melting snow patches near the ice margin. Above, a dark sky holds sparse stars that hang motionless over the landscape. The air appears clear and dry, allowing sharp edges on the glacier ridges to stand out against the night. Frost lines jagged ice formations at the water's edge, catching the faintest shimmer of the reflection below.
