Surreal Magenta Sky Over Indonesian Ferry Prau

A traditional wooden fishing prau with a bamboo outrigger floats on the gray, rain-slicked water of a remote ferry crossing near Yogyakarta. The sky above has shifted to an impossible deep magenta, casting a strange, unnatural glow on the wet deck and the rough, splintered wood. Heavy monsoon clouds hang low and dark, contrasting sharply with the vibrant, alien color of the upper atmosphere. Raindrops rest on the varnished railings, and the water ripples gently under the hull. The leading lines of the boat's structure draw toward the distant, misty shoreline where the storm is clearing. one drop of water rolls down the side of the outrigger pole, catching the magenta light before falling back into the dark water.
