Deep indigo shadows swallow the layered foothills of Eritrea, leaving only a sharp silver rim light to trace the jagged ridgeline. Below, the rocky shoreline meets churning waves that flash white against the dark water. Green leaves skitter across the wet stones, driven by gusts that ripple the surface of the sea. The sky holds a soft, fading violet that mirrors the cool tone of the wet rocks. One wave crest breaks against a dark boulder, sending a spray of droplets into the wind-carved solitude of the evening. The scene ends with a wet stone in the foreground reflecting the last light of the sky.
