Blue Delphiniums in Copper Light Near Prizren

Deep blue and violet delphinium spikes rise in a dense border, their tall stems bending slightly under a sudden gust that sends dry leaves skittering across the foreground. The meadow near Prizren glows with a copper-toned warmth as dusk approaches, casting long, soft shadows across the uneven grass. Textures vary from the smooth, waxy petals of the flowers to the rough, dry stalks of surrounding vegetation. The light flattens the distant hills into muted silhouettes while highlighting the intricate vertical lines of the bloom. A few loose petals lie scattered on the earth, caught in the path of the wind. at the edge is a cluster of purple blooms standing rigid against the sweeping motion of the grass.
