Predawn Lavender Rows Under Lighthouse Beam

Deep indigo shadows cloak the foreground where rows of lavender plants stretch toward a distant horizon along a salt-sprayed cliff edge. A sudden sweep of bright white light from an unseen lighthouse cuts across the dark landscape, illuminating the fuzzy texture of dried lavender stalks and the rough, grey stones of the cliff face. Dramatic, heavy clouds gather above, their undersides glowing faintly where the beam strikes them. The shallow depth of field blurs the farthest rows into soft violet smudges while keeping the nearest stems sharp against the stark darkness. One droplet of condensation rests on the tip of a dry flower spike in the immediate foreground.
