Autumn Wildflowers in Twilight Mountain Meadow
by Victor McKee
Cool blue twilight washes over a high-altitude meadow where clusters of wildflowers stand in peak autumn bloom. Low-hanging clouds drape the horizon, softening the transition between sky and distant ridges. The birds-eye perspective reveals a dense carpet of purple, yellow, and white petals stretching across the undulating terrain. Shadows lengthen rapidly as the sun dips below the mountain peaks, casting deep indigo tones across the grassy slopes. Individual flower heads tilt slightly under the weight of the fading light, their delicate textures against the rough, dark soil beneath. The expansive view emphasizes the vastness of the landscape, with the flowers appearing as scattered stars against the encroaching night. One patch of moss near the foreground edge catches the last faint reflection of the sky.
