Birmingham Printing Press Rolling News at Blue Hour

Deep shadows cloak the massive industrial printing press as it moves along the factory floor near Birmingham. Sheets of newspaper fly through the rollers in a continuous stream, caught by a sharp rim light that traces the edges of the metal machinery. Dry season dust settles on the concrete floor while dramatic clouds swirl above the high windows in the twilight blue hour. Heavy steel components reflect the dim ambient glow. White paper contrasts against the dark, greasy surfaces of the gears. One sheet peels away from the stack, its corner catching the last light before vanishing into the darkness of the press.
