Blue Dusk Smelter Hall Beside Blast Furnace

Violet twilight washes the interior of a vast industrial hall where rows of aluminum electrolytic cells stretch into the distance. Against the deepening blue of early summer dusk, the glowing orange interior of a massive blast furnace provides a stark counterpoint to the cool ambient light. Rain streaks the high windows, blurring the distant city lights that begin to pierce the horizon. The floor reflects the furnace heat, creating a shimmering surface beneath heavy steel grating. Massive concrete pillars support the roof, framing the utilitarian machinery in a display of monumental scale. The air is thick with visible moisture from the drizzle, clinging to the cold metal surfaces of the cell casings. A faint red glow lingers on the wet concrete near the base of the furnace.
