Redevelopment Drawings on Easel Under Floodlights

A wooden easel holds large sheets of redevelopment plans inside a drafty room, viewed from behind as indigo twilight settles over Anchorage. Bright government building floodlights cast a cool, artificial glow that reflects off wet pavement visible through the open doorway. The humid late summer air hangs heavy, evidenced by the slight sheen on the paper surfaces and the damp threshold shadow pooling on the floor. Blueprints show detailed street grids and building footprints, their white lines contrasting against the deep blue of the evening sky. A quiet sense of communal determination settles over the room as the city plans its future, with the wet ground mirroring the harsh lights and the sturdy easel anchoring the composition. One drop of water rests on the metal leg of the stand.
