The insect clings vertically to the rough surface, its black exoskeleton gleaming with a subtle sheen against the warm tones of the wood. Heavy overcast clouds loom above, casting a soft, diffused shadow that contrasts with the golden highlights on the beetle's shell. The low angle view emphasizes the creature's imposing size and the deep grooves in the bark. One dewdrop rests on the edge of the beetle's horn, catching the fading copper light.
