African Wild Dogs Hunt Above Glacial Stream Angola

Low morning light cuts through humid air above a glacial stream in Angola, illuminating the alert faces of an African wild dog pack. Mottled coats of black, tan, and white stand out against the wet, grey stones of the riverbank. Rain has just passed, leaving droplets clinging to the short grass and the dogs' fur. Their ears are pricked forward, eyes fixed on a point beyond the frame, bodies tense with predatory focus. The sun hangs low on the horizon, casting long, sharp shadows across the rocky terrain. Water rushes quietly beneath them, its surface broken by small ripples. The closest dog's whiskers are stiff with moisture, its muzzle slightly open as it holds its breath. A reflection of the grey sky shimmers in the stream below their paws.
