Raccoon Washing Food by Glacial Stream at Sunrise

First light from the east strikes the wet fur of a raccoon perched on a smooth, grey stone above a rushing glacial stream near Mixco. The animal holds a small object in its front paws, submerging it into the churning, milky-blue water that reflects the clear sky. Sharp morning rays illuminate the coarse texture of the fur and the ripples spreading across the surface. Behind the creature, dry grasses and rocky terrain indicate the dry season, while the water churns with cold energy. The raccoon's dark mask contrasts against the pale stone, and its focused posture suggests alert tension. One droplet falls from its paw, catching the golden light before disappearing into the stream.
