Aerial Desert Canyon Red Walls Salt Ponds Cairo

Brilliant white salt flats stretch across the foreground, divided by narrow earthen causeways that cut straight lines through the pale crust. Beyond the ponds, steep canyon walls rise in distinct layers of rust, ochre, and deep red sandstone, their surfaces rough and eroded by wind. The bright midmorning sun casts sharp, dark shadows into the crevices of the rock faces, highlighting the geological strata. Above, dramatic cumulus clouds gather in patches of grey against a pale blue sky, casting moving shadows over the arid landscape. The composition balances the geometric order of the man-made ponds against the organic, rugged texture of the natural canyon walls.
