Aerial Sand Dunes Near Cairo Midday Shadows

Soft overcast light diffuses across the undulating expanse of sand dunes near Cairo, muting the usual harsh glare of the desert. Sharp crescent shadows define the ridges where the wind has sculpted the golden grains into rhythmic waves. A subtle heat haze rises from the surface, blurring the distant horizon and softening the transition between earth and sky. The rule of thirds frames the scene, placing the darkest shadow line along the left vertical axis while the lighter dunes occupy the right two-thirds. Fine textures of loose sand contrast with the smooth, dark curves of the shadows. A small, pale rock rests near the base of the nearest ridge, marking the scale of the vast topographic sweep.
