Zigzag Fire Escape on Borneo Brick Wall

Heavy gray clouds press low over a wet colonnaded facade in Borneo, where rain-slicked surfaces reflect the dim early evening sky. A rusted iron fire escape zigzags sharply up the red brick wall, its metal grating and handrails showing deep oxidation and peeling paint. Water droplets rest on the brickwork, darkening the mortar lines between the weathered red bricks. The colonnade columns stand in a rhythmic line, their bases wet and glistening under the flat, diffuse light. The iron structure casts soft, elongated shadows against the masonry, showing the texture of the corroded metal. one drop of water hangs from the bottom of a lower railing, ready to fall onto the slick pavement below.
