Amber streetlight glows over wet asphalt, turning a shallow puddle into a distorted mirror. A metal fire escape zigzags up a weathered brick wall, its iron rungs and diagonal supports duplicated in the water below. Silver drizzle dots the dark pavement, catching the light in tiny, scattered points. Market stalls line the street in the background, their awnings dark and still under the deep night sky. The brick surface shows rough texture and faded mortar lines, against the smooth, rippling water. The reflection creates a jagged, symmetrical pattern that pulls attention upward along the vertical rise of the stairs. A faint orange halo from a distant lamp softens the shadowed corner where the wall meets the ground.
