Blue Hour Fire Escape Zigzagging Brick Wall Izmir

A rusted iron fire escape cuts a jagged diagonal line up the weathered red brick facade of a building in Izmir. The metal steps and railings, painted a faded ochre, show patches of orange corrosion against the deepening twilight. Heavy overcast clouds fill the sky, diffusing the last light into a cool, steel-blue wash. Distant town glow flickers on the horizon, casting a faint amber reflection on the wet, uneven surface of the staircase. The perspective tilts sharply, showing the vertical climb of the structure against the monumental stone steps nearby. Early autumn air leaves the brickwork looking damp and textured, with small cracks filled with grime. at the edge is a single rust bolt securing the lowest railing step to the masonry wall.
