Honeyed evening light spills across a rain-slicked asphalt street corner in Belgaum, where a shallow puddle mirrors a zigzagging fire escape climbing a weathered brick wall. The metal stairs reflect in the dark water, their iron rails bending slightly with the ripples caused by wind funneling dry leaves and crumpled paper along the curb. Warm golden hour tones bathe the rough brick texture and the wet pavement, highlighting the contrast between the cool gray of the metal and the reddish-brown masonry. Debris drifts across the surface of the reflection, distorting the geometric lines of the stairs into fragmented shapes before the image resolves again at the edge of the water.
