Rain-slicked leather of a worn baseball glove rests on muddy riverbank earth near Monywa. Water droplets rest on the deep brown stitching and cracked palm surface. A faint rim light traces the glove's edge while the rest sits in deep shadow from the rainy season dawn. The wet ground reflects the gray sky above. Mud coats the lower fingers where the glove pressed against the soft soil. Droplets slide down the curved pocket, leaving dark trails on the textured hide. The laces hang heavy with moisture, pulling slightly under the weight of the rain.
