Weathered Wooden Rowboat in Boston

A weathered wooden rowboat rests on a concrete pier in Boston Harbor, its hull showing signs of long exposure to salt air. Flat noon light illuminates the peeling white paint and the dark, wet wood along the waterline where the tide has recently receded. Beside the boat, a heavy iron mooring hook is bolted into the stone, holding a frayed rope that hangs loosely against the surface. The surrounding water is calm and gray, reflecting the overcast sky above the distant city skyline.
