Wooden Stool in Boston

A weathered wooden stool sits on the rough concrete landing of a Boston brownstone stoop, angled slightly toward the street. The late morning sun casts sharp, long shadows across the textured steps, highlighting the grain and wear on the seat. Behind the stool, a heavy iron railing runs along the edge of the porch, separating the private entry from the public sidewalk. A small, chipped ceramic planter rests on the step just below the stool's rear leg, containing a patch of dry soil.
