Water Droplet Reflects Trees on Car Hood

Dappled sunlight falls through a canopy of green leaves, casting shifting patches of bright yellow and deep shadow across the glossy black surface of a car hood. One, perfect water droplet sits centered in the frame, magnifying the inverted image of slender tree trunks and dense foliage above. The metal paint shows a fine layer of dust suspended in the air, catching the light as a hazy veil just above the ground. Late summer heat hangs heavy, visible in the stillness of the suspended particles. The low angle emphasizes the curve of the vehicle against the forest floor, while the reflection within the droplet reveals the intricate, slightly blurred geometry of the Arunachal Pradesh forest. A thin ring of water tension holds the sphere together at the edge of the metal.
