Venice Mosaic Tile Fragments
A cluster of irregular mosaic tile fragments rests on the damp, dark stone surface of a narrow Venetian alleyway during the cool early morning. The sea-green and gold tesserae catch the diffuse, gray light, their rough edges against the smooth, wet pavement beneath them. Nearby, the base of a weathered brick wall shows faint streaks of white soap residue from recent cleaning, adding texture to the shadowed corner. One fragment lies slightly apart from the group, its jagged edge reflecting the muted sky above.
