Upside Down Arctic Sea Reflection in in Yukon

Upside Down Arctic Sea Reflection

by Matteo Barlow

Pancake ice circles float on a dark, freezing Arctic sea while snow falls gently through the midnight sun. City lights begin to glow in the distance, casting a soft orange warmth against the blue twilight. The horizon line divides the composition, but the sky below the water is not air. The entire scene reflects upside-down in a ceiling that has become water, creating a seamless, impossible mirror. The ice floes hang suspended in the inverted liquid sky, their white edges sharp against the glowing city lights. A thin layer of frost coats the surface of this water ceiling, catching the ambient light. The reflection shows the snowflakes falling upward, defying gravity while remaining perfectly visible.
