Midnight Winter Arc Over Monaco Snow in beneath fast-moving cloud bands in Monaco

Midnight Winter Arc Over Monaco Snow

by Anna Welch

A brilliant circumhorizontal arc slices horizontally through a dark midnight sky, glowing with spectral bands of red, orange, and yellow against the cold silver of winter. Below, snow falls gently in fine, visible flakes over the terraced rooftops of Monaco. The buildings are rendered in sharp, legible detail, their stone surfaces catching the faint ambient light. In a deliberate impossible twist, a narrow corridor extends from a building facade, stretching visibly farther than the structure allows, disappearing into the snowy distance. The arc hovers above this architectural anomaly, creating a stark contrast between the impossible geometry and the solid, cold reality of the winter night. at the edge is the edge of the corridor where it meets the falling snow, blurring the line between solid stone and the drifting white flakes.
