Rainwater pools on a painted concrete ledge, mirroring the warm glow of nearby string lights. The shallow puddle distorts the hanging bulbs into rippling streaks of amber and soft yellow. Early spring dampness coats the surface in a fine sheen. Rough textures of the painted stone contrast with the liquid smoothness of the water. Deep shadows gather in the corners of the indoor space, framing the bright reflection. A crack runs through the paint near the edge, splitting the reflected light into two uneven paths. The water holds the light steady despite the surrounding gloom.
