Tanker Hull Scaffolding Late Summer Dry Dock

Rust-colored steel scaffolding wraps tightly around the massive, curved hull of a tanker resting in a dry dock. Fine dust particles hang suspended in shafts of late summer light, illuminating the rough texture of the metal surfaces. The structure stands beside exposed structural steel beams that rise vertically against the evening sky. In the distance, a faint orange glow from a town on the horizon contrasts with the cool blue shadows filling the lower parts of the dock. The mechanical severity of the industrial site is defined by the rigid geometry of the supports and the weathered paint peeling from the ship's side. Shadows stretch long across the concrete floor, marking the transition from day to night.
