Tailoring Station in Kathmandu

Under the sodium-orange glow of a streetlamp, a narrow alleyway in Kathmandu reveals a makeshift tailoring station set up on two white folding tables. A woman in a dark woolen scarf sits hunched over her work, the bright LED light of her mobile phone illuminating a spool of red thread and a small pair of shears resting on a stack of patterned fabric. Behind her, the rough plaster of a brick wall is patched with faded posters, while a rusted metal latch on a nearby cabinet catches the harsh glare, flaking orange against the grey concrete.
