Under the flat, diffused light of an overcast midday, a street-side tailor in Phnom Penh pauses her work on a faded plastic stool. Her hands, stained with chalk dust, rest near a cluttered wooden bench where a rusted metal recipe tin serves as a makeshift container for sewing notions. Beside it, a cracked painted stucco wall, peeling in places to reveal older layers, provides a textured backdrop to the intimate workspace. One terracotta bowl sits empty nearby, catching the dull ambient glow, while a pair of writing brushes lies discarded next to a seam ripper, hinting at a day of mixed repairs.
