Tropical midday light floods a formal civic plaza in Mazatlan, illuminating the stark geometry of suspension bridge cables stretching across the frame. Low-hanging gray clouds from the rainy season press down on the horizon, creating a heavy, charged backdrop. The thick steel wires cut through the bright air in rhythmic parallel lines, their metallic surfaces reflecting the diffuse white light. Beneath the cables, the paved plaza remains empty, showing the scale of the infrastructure against the urban void.
