Steel Maintenance Cage Swings Under Bridge in Rufisque

Pale morning light breaks through wet season haze, striking the horizon beneath a massive concrete bridge span in Rufisque. A steel maintenance cage hangs from the structure, its metal grating floor and wire mesh sides catching the low sun. The cage tilts slightly in the crosswind, suspended above the dark underpass. Heavy dramatic clouds stack above, their undersides dark against the brightening sky. Converging lines of the bridge supports lead toward a distant vanishing point, showing the civic-scale austerity of the infrastructure. Rust streaks run vertically down the weathered steel beams beside the cage. One rivet head on the cage frame reflects the soft light, anchoring the floating object against the vast gray expanse.
