Sunset Tombolo Linking Rocky Island to Mainland Shore
Deep shadow blankets the foreground while a thin rim of golden light defines the jagged edges of the stone tombolo. This narrow strip of land connects a rugged, rocky island to the mainland near Koszalin. Late summer grasses sway slightly atop the sand and gravel, their tips catching the fading sun. In the distance, the first points of electric light from the city begin to glow against the darkening blue sky. The water laps quietly at the base of the rocks, creating a soft, frothy white line where the tide meets the stone. A sharp contrast exists between the dark, textured silhouette of the land and the bright, fading horizon line that cuts across the upper third of the view. The wind-carved solitude of the shoreline is visible in the way the light isolates the rocky outcrop from the surrounding sea.
