Moonlit Stepwell Twilight Cobalt Water Reflection in from a moonlit breakwater near Puerto Madryn

Moonlit Stepwell Twilight Cobalt Water Reflection

by Rosa Wade

Cobalt twilight washes over a stone stepwell descending into absolute darkness where still water mirrors the first visible stars. Dramatic clouds drift above the rim, their edges silvered by the rising moon. The descending tiers of weathered limestone create a geometric frame within the frame, leading toward the black surface below. Late autumn clarity defines the light and the bare branches visible at the top edge. Shadows deepen with each step down, turning the lower levels into a void of ink. A faint reflection of a single star rests on the water's surface near the bottom.
