Silhouette of Stone Hermitage on Canadian Cliff at Twilight

Late spring twilight paints the sky in deep indigo and bruised violet hues as dramatic, rolling clouds stack high above the horizon. A weather-beaten stone hermitage stands in perfect symmetrical silhouette against the fading light, its rough masonry defined only by the sharp outline of the structure. The building rests on a jagged cliff edge, its foundation blending into the dark, craggy rock of the Canadian coastline. Small patches of green moss rest on the lower stones, hinting at the season, while the upper walls remain stark black against the bright, diffused glow of the setting sun. The symmetry of the windows and door creates a geometric anchor in the chaotic texture of the stormy sky. A thin strip of lighter sky reflects faintly on the wet stone surface at the base of the cliff.
