Morning Mist Settling Basins Zurich Plant

First rays of sunrise cut through damp concrete and vapor rising from large rectangular settling basins in an industrial welding bay near Niederdorf, Zurich. Symmetrical rows of gray steel structures stand rigid against the pale sky, their surfaces slick with early winter moisture.
