Spinning Weathervane Blur in Dakhla Terminal in inside a restored train terminal in Dakhla

Spinning Weathervane Blur in Dakhla Terminal

by Miguel Snow

Predawn darkness fills the restored train terminal in Dakhla, where a weathervane spins rapidly enough to dissolve into a vertical streak of metallic gray. One projector beam cuts through the heavy air, illuminating floating dust motes that drift across the dark walls. The spinning metal creates a ghostly blur, against the stillness of the surrounding architecture. Negative space dominates the frame, showing the isolation of the object. Fine particles of dust hang suspended in the light shaft, catching the glow before settling back into the shadows. The blurred edges of the weathervane fade into the blackness, leaving only a faint outline of its motion against the textured wall behind it.
