Spinning Pottery Wheel Motion Blur Autumn Light
Soft overcast daylight fills a narrow passageway in Okayama, illuminating dust particles suspended in vertical shafts. At the center, a pottery wheel spins with such speed that the wet clay and the wheel's rim dissolve into concentric streaks of gray and brown. The motion creates a rhythmic geometric blur against the static, symmetrical architecture of the skylit space. Cool midday tones wash over the wet, glistening surfaces of the clay, against the matte finish of the surrounding walls. The blur suggests continuous rotation while the dust motes remain sharp and still in the light beams. One shadow of the wheel's base anchors the spinning forms to the floor.
