Snow Squall Crossing Lake in Early Spring Fog

Heavy overcast skies press low over a choppy lake near Helsinki as a dense snow squall moves across the water. Soft marine fog rests on the horizon, blurring the boundary between the gray water and the pale sky. The light remains clear and dry despite the precipitation, casting a cool, even tone across the scene. Ice chunks float near the shore, remnants of the early spring thaw, against the fresh white flakes falling in thick curtains. A dark wooden pier juts into the frame from the left, its weathered planks slick with moisture. The snow accumulates on the railing, creating a sharp white edge against the dark wood before fading into the mist. Beyond the squall, the distant shoreline remains hidden, leaving the water's surface as the only visible path for the storm.
