Skier Tucking Through Gate on Harbin Hillside

Bright open daylight floods a steep, snow-covered hillside near Harbin as an early winter storm clears. The white expanse glitters under the sun, revealing tracks carved by previous runs. A skier in a dark racing suit tucks low, body compressed into a tight aerodynamic shape. Their helmeted head angles forward, eyes fixed on the gate ahead. The perspective rises from the ground, making the skier appear to loom over the frame. Goggles reflect the pale sky. Red and blue gate poles stand out against the snow, marking the path. The skier's knees bend deeply, boots locked into bindings, muscles tensed beneath the suit fabric. Snow dust sprays from the edges of the skis as they carve a sharp turn. A fine layer of fresh powder rests on the shadowed side of the gate pole.
