Wet Concrete Site Reflections Late Afternoon Brazil

Early summer rain leaves the construction ground slick and mirror-like beneath a heavy overcast sky. A metal saw blade case rests on a wooden plank shelf beside the exposed steel frame of a building shell. The unfinished concrete walls stretch upward, their rough gray surfaces catching the flat, bright site light that defines every edge. Converging lines of the steel beams draw toward a distant vanishing point. Dark puddles on the muddy earth reflect the pale gray clouds above, creating a sharp visual contrast with the reddish-brown soil. The wet surface of the metal case gleams faintly, while at the edge shows a small rivulet of water running down the side of the shelf leg.
