Silhouetted Arroyo in South Australian Sunset

Rich amber sunset light floods a dry arroyo channel carved into the red earth of South Australia. The gullies and ridges stand as dark silhouettes against the glowing horizon, their jagged edges sharp against the fading sky. Early winter dryness leaves the scrubby vegetation low and brittle, catching the last rays of the day. Wind whips loose dust and dry grass blades across the foreground, blurring the texture of the sandy floor. The vast expanse of the landscape stretches out, showing the depth of the ravine. A final streak of golden light reflects off a smooth, wet rock surface near the channel bed, marking where the flash flood recently receded.
