Shipwright Caulking Hull Beside Seoul Canal
First light skims sideways across the curved, dark wood of a ship hull resting beside a narrow canal in Mangwon, Seoul. A shipwright leans into the work, driving caulking material into the seams with a mallet. Raindrops streak the air, catching the low sun to create sharp, shimmering lines against the deep browns of the timber. The autumn season colors the scene with fallen leaves scattered on the wet concrete bank, their orange and russet tones against the gray water.
