Wooden Gate in Seoul

A weathered wooden gate stands slightly ajar in the damp twilight of a narrow Seoul alleyway, its surface slick with light rain. The dark grain of the timber contrasts with the pale gray concrete wall that frames the entrance to a traditional hanok courtyard. Condensation beads on the rusted iron hinges, catching the faint glow of a nearby streetlamp reflecting off the wet pavement. One ceramic bowl sits on the threshold step, its glaze shimmering under the low light.
