Sea Anemones Silhouetted in Florida Tide Pools

Soft overcast light falls through exceptionally clear water, casting sea anemones in dark silhouette against the bright surface. The subjects rest on a bed of vibrant green seagrass that stretches beneath the shallow tide pools of a Florida coast. Slow-moving ripples distort the light above, creating shifting patterns of brightness across the submerged stems. The anemones appear as dark, clustered shapes, their tentacles faintly visible where the water clarity allows. Shadows from the ripples dance across the seagrass blades, creating a rhythmic texture on the pool floor. The water surface acts as a bright, uneven ceiling, framing the underwater forms below. One shadow of a seagrass blade falls sharply across the dark mass of an anemone.
