Salt Harvester on Terraced Paddies at Twilight

Thick mist rests on the surface of terraced rice paddies in Delhi, turning the water into a sheet of pale, diffused silver. A lone worker stands waist-deep in the shallow pools, their silhouette defined against the soft glow of twilight. The water reflects the fading sky, creating a seamless blend of gray and white that obscures the horizon. Rough wooden tools rest against the worker's hip, catching the faint ambient light. The terraced edges form strong geometric lines that guide the view toward the figure. Wet mud coats the worker's boots, against the smooth, glassy surface of the surrounding water. One ripple spreads outward from a hand dipping into the liquid.
